Calciomania 99 AC Cugini, affiliated with Italian premier league club ACF Fiorentina, is conducting tryouts in Reston (by appointment only) for open spots on its new U9 boys travel team, Calciomania 99, for Fall 2008. Players must be born on or after 8/1/99 and be at least 8 years old by September 1. Cugini players participate in an 11-month Italian Olympic Committee sanctioned training program; practices and home games in Reston. The team is trained by Fabio Diletti (UEFA former goalkeeper with professional Italian club Ascoli Calcio). All Cugini team members are automatically eligible to participate in tournament play in Italy every summer and review by talent scouts from ACF Fiorentina and other professional Italian clubs. Cugini members also have the opportunity to train with ACF Fiorentina in Italy for free each summer. Scholarships available for players with financial need.
